U12s and Men’s First Grade Lead the Way with 2026 Premierships

Published Wed 14 Oct 2026

Congratulations to the U12s on becoming minor premiers and premiers in the SEHA 12B competition. This was largely a new team for the season, led by new coach Lauren Frurner. The team went undefeated through the round games to finish as clear minor premiers. In a thrilling, hard-fought grand final, the score was nil-all at the end of regulation time. The team then scored a golden goal to secure the premiership.

The Men’s First Grade team also claimed the minor premiership and premiership in 2026. After achieving the same double in the old SL1 competition in 2005, the team stepped up to the new SL1 competition (formerly PL3) and repeated the feat. A young side comprising predominantly local juniors, complemented by several experienced players, finished the round games five points clear of Moorebank before facing them in the grand final. The team held the lead until the final few minutes of a gritty contest, but two late Moorebank goals sent the match into golden-goal extra time. Once again proving themselves in extra time, Rob Goulding converted a short corner at the end of the first five-minute period to win the game. Congratulations to the team on a great year.
